The Korea Grand Sale 2015 is the country’s grandest festival for shoppers and tourists. Its special theme weeks start on January 9. The event is divided into three categories: namely, the Must-See Period (Jan. 9~23), the Must-Do Period (Jan. 24~Feb. 7), and the Must-Buy Period (Feb. 8~22).

During the Must-See Period, can attend non-verbal performances like Bibap, Sachum, Drum Cat, and Jump with a buy 1 get 1 free ticket. Additional discount benefits and a prize lottery will be provided at Everland, Dragon Hill Spa, K-Live, and Woongjin Playdoci during the Must-Do Period. During the Must-Buy Period, including the Chinese New Year, we will provide detailed information on promotional events held by participating businesses, including department stores, duty-free shops, large-sized marts, and outlets.

The event booth in Dongdaemun will open concurrently with the start of the Special Theme Weeks, while the one in Myeong-dong will relocate to Dongdaemun to carry out makeup shows and events for a hands-on experience of hansik (Korean traditional food).

Launched on December 1, 2014, the Korea Grand Sale 2015 has already carried out a wide range of events, including the Lucky Box Event, Luxury Shopping Pass, and Hallyu Event, with the sponsorship of Korean Air, Asiana, Jin Air, and Jeju Air (for air tickets), Shilla Duty-Free Shop, Lotte Department Store, Lotte Hotel, and Master Card (gold keys). We will do our best to maintain the festival atmosphere until the end with the 888 Event, the Seoul Music Awards celebrating the Event, and the like.

Secretary General Katie Han of the Visit Korea Committee said, “We will do our best to make it a shopping and tourism-related merrymaking event packed with exciting things to see and do and to ensure that foreign tourists are satisfied with the diverse benefits provided for shopping and other opportunities.”
